Deborah Dorothy Phelps, Ocean Springs, MS, age 59, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010, at her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Deborah was born August 26, 1950, in Putnam, CT to Dorothy and Robert Tefft. She was a homemaker dedicated to her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Theodore Perry Phelps, and her children Kristen Bellisario and Timothy O’Donnell, Indianapolis, IN; Kerrie Bellisario and Thomas Ross, Oyster Bay, NY; Kasey and Shane Carew, Jeremy Phelps and Brian Sutton, Daniel Phelps and Melissa Richards, Amber and Leo St. Augustine, Heather Phelps and Redford Clay, Holly Phelps and Michael Denham of the Biloxi/Ocean Springs area, 15 grandchildren, two brothers, seven sisters, extended family in Mississippi and Alabama, and her former husband Joseph Bellisario and his family in Florida and North Carolina.

Visitation was on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, from 2 pm until 3 pm, with a 3 pm service to celebrate her life, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.

Betty La Jeune Swartz died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Ocean Springs, MS.

Born August 3, 1929, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John, her parents, John E. Wylie and Doris Johnson, and aunt and uncle, Ina and Floyd Engstrom. She was a loving wife and mother; proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by three children, Cheryl Portteus (Steve) of Earl Park IN, Andrea Holden (Neil) of Ocean Springs, and Mike Swartz (Meg) of Algonquin IL; seven grandchildren, Brian (Cyndi) Portteus, Katie (Kyle) Robinson, Rachael Holden, Sarah Holden and Julie Holden, Melissa Swartz and Alex Swartz; one great-grandchild Austin Robinson.

The family would like to thank the Gardens Assisted Living Center and Home Instead Senior Care for the compassionate care and loving support they provided to her.

Memorial Service was held Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs. Visitation for friends began one half hour before service. A private graveside service took place at Biloxi National Cemetery.

CHARLES FREDRICK (CHARLIE "O") OSTERMAN; of Ocean Springs, Mississippi passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010 with his family at his side in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Mr. Osterman was born July 3,1930 in Haugen Township, Minnesota;

He was a resident of the Mississippi Coast since 1970...He served in the U.S. Navy on dieasel and nuclar sumarine services,.and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer where he served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.

He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding Co; and worked abroad in Saudi Arbia for Parsons Corp. He was a member of the Ocean Springs Elks Lodge #2501, for 36 years and served many different positions. Charlie was named Elk of the Year on 3 seperate occasions, Grand Marshall of Mardi Gras, and King Fidelity.He was also a member of the American Legion post 1992, Gautier Ms and VFW post 1599 in Ocean Springs, Ms.

Mr. Osterman was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Alice Nelson Osterman, and sister Thoris Osterman Daley, wifes; Mary Nell Rodiquez Osterman and Marilou Bourgeois Osterman.

He is survived by his wife Mary C. Osterman; four brothers Deane Osterrnan, Larry Osterman,Jon Osterman, and Neale Osterman; one sister Laverne Osterman Newstrom; children Susan and Donald Harden, Denise and John McNeil, Linda and BD Root, Brenda and Brian Pelton, Donald and Neta Mott, Alice Mott, Donna Grahman, and Wally Mott. 22 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. and plently of neices and nephews.

Visitation and a memorial service was held at 6pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral in Ocean Springs, Ms. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honours on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 12:30 p.m.



Donald Foster, age 87, of Ocean Springs, MS went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.

Don was a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1947. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama. He was an electronics instructor at Keesler AFB for forty years and during this time worked as an engineer with WLOX TV, helping to get the station on the air when it opened. Don loved photography and was in great demand over the years to take photos for weddings. He was a man of faith and served his Lord through First Baptist Church in Biloxi, teaching Sunday School for more than fifty years and also serving as a Deacon for many years.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, sister and son, John Lowell Foster.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Dorothy A. "Dot" Foster; daughter, Nancy Glass; twin sister, Dorothy Cutrer; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

There was a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. where friends visited one hour prior to service.

Interment was at Biloxi National Cemetery with a private committal.

Mr. Gregory E. Holmes, age 49, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, June 14, 2010, in Ocean Springs.

Mr. Holmes was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Holmes.

Survivors include his wife, Leslie Holmes, mother, Carol Holmes, and sister, Leanne Reimer.

Visitation was on Thursday, June 17, 2010, from 10 am until 11 am, with an 11 am chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial followed in Pinecrest Cemetery in Gautier, MS.
