May 21

•Prescription medicine was stolen from a vehicle in front of a residence near Heritage Lane.

•A student was found in possession of a small folding knife at Ocean Springs High School. No charges were filed.

•A person’s vehicle was damaged on the Fort Bayou Bridge after an unknown object hit and broke their windshield.

•An adult was arrested for hit and run and public drunk. According to police reports, the suspect hit the victim’s car near the intersection of Ocean Springs Road and Old CCC Camp Road, and fled the scene. The suspect later returned only to be arrested at the scene.

•Simple Assault charges were filed after two people were involved in a physical altercation near Denny Avenue.

•A water jug full of coins was stolen from a home on Nelson Drive.

•A person reported to police that someone had thrown a key box and padlock keys in the trash near Clay Boyd Park.

•A man was tased near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Government Street while attempting to resist arrest for public intoxication. The suspect was arrested and charged with pubic intoxication.

May 22

•A fight broke out at Club Wave

•Someone’s daughter was reported as a runaway.

•Juvenile charges were filed after a person reported they were receiving threatening emails from the suspect.

•An adult was arrested for public intoxication and shoplifting from Walmart.

May 23

•An adult was arrested for DUI at the intersection of Government Street and Stark Bayou.

•An adult was arrested after officers discovered marijuana in their vehicle. According to police reports, the suspect was stopped for an expired tag and then found be in possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.

•A father and son were involved in a verbal altercation near Ashley Place.

May 24

•Two people were arrested after bungling a shoplifting attempt at Walmart. According to police reports, two suspects attempted to steal a 12 pack of beer and dropped it after they had been caught and ran. They were arrested shortly after during a traffic stop.

•Charges were filed against a suspect after a person reported the suspect had been making harassing phone calls.

•A person reported credit card fraud to police. According to police reports, the victim advised officers that an unknown person took a bill payment out of his account.

•Juvenile charges were filed against a middle school student for being disorderly.

•Juvenile charges were filed against a middle school student for starting a food fight in the cafeteria.

•A person’s wallet was stolen out of an unlocked locker at Planet Fitness.

•A person attempted to commit suicide at Westgate Apartments by taking an overdose of anxiety pills.

•An adult was arrested at the Ocean Springs Hospital Emergency Room for disorderly conduct. According to police reports, the suspect started causing a disturbance in the Emergency Room, resisted and was arrested for disorderly conduct and public profanity.

May 26

•Several items were stolen from behind Terry’s Service Center .

•Police responded to Wendy’s after it was reported a person was being harassed by a suspect.

•A person reported to police that someone was following her as she went to different businesses.

May 27

•Officers are on the lookout for a man involved in a simple assault. According to police, the victim said an unknown person got out of his truck, accused the victim of pulling out in front of him and then struck the victim in the head.

•Two gold chains and a video game console were stolen out a residence in the Chateau Bayou Apartments.

•Juvenile charges were filed for malicious mischief. According to police reports, several juveniles appeared to be damaging the fence by the playground on Nottingham, and were later found to have damaged a CD player in another juvenile’s purse.
