Courtney Coate, the 22 year old waitress who received a $300 tip last month from a generous patron to take her nursing licensing exam has recently learned she has passed. Coate, who is a single mom with two children, waitresses at Leo’s Pizza on Government Street in downtown Ocean Springs. She was overwhelmed by the attention she has received and has even gone to a local church to speak about random acts of kndness.
